Q 1. How can Coastal Vacations offer these unlimited "complimentary stays" for just taxes & processing fees? Is there some kind of catch?
A. Ever since it’s inception, Coastal Vacations has been offering what are known as “incentive vacations.” These incentive stays are where the Coastal Vacations member only pays taxes and processing fees. The rest of the cost of the hotel room, suite, or condo resort stay is backed by the multi billion dollar time share industry. Here’s why resorts are willing to do this. They hope that the guest will agree to accept additional perks and incentives such as room or condo upgrades, additional free days, attraction tickets, or even cash in exchange for agreeing to attend a 90 minute tour of a luxury resort community. In essence, the Resort Development Companies are picking up the tab, knowing that one out 10 or so guests will agree to attend a tour. Now, in the case of Coastal Vacations members, the tours are optional, if the guest does not wish to take advantage of the additional perks. In most cases the actual cost of the stays typically run from $5 to $7 per night, which is a tremendous savings over the normal room cost.
Q 2 . How much advance notice is required to be able to travel?
A. If you can plan 60 to 90 days or more in advance, you may choose to use one of your complimentary “taxes only” stays. These are typically for 3 to 5 days for 2 adults and 2 children. If you wish to travel in under 60 days, it would be best to use one of the 20 membership discount cards. You may access the directories or web sites and check under your desired City & State to locate a resort or condo, then call the toll free number to get a price with your membership discount. This can be done for “next day” travel, or anytime that you wish, for yourself, family, or friends.
Q 3. What quality of accommodations can I and my guests expect to enjoy?
A. When using the complementary “taxes only” stays, you will usually be assigned a standard room at beautiful nationally known resorts, such as LaQuinta, Holiday Inn, Ramada, Comfort Suites, Howard Johnson's, etc. Remember, you can always upgrade to a larger room or suite, for a small surcharge if you wish. When using the 22 membership cards & directories, you may choose from a variety of options, which include fully furnished luxury condos, resorts, bed & breakfasts, private pool homes, and much more. Prices will depend on the time of year that you choose to travel, location, and how much notice you give. We even have a “burn week” list of last minute condo options for our Coastal Vacations members.
Q 4. Do the complimentary “taxes only” stays offer airfare?
A. Although the bonus stays do not include the airfare, the vendors will usually offer an airfare quote if you request one. If you would like to compare airfare costs, you can always call any of the vendors on the back of your Airfare Card for additional discount airfare. Generally airfare prices are best when purchased as far in advance as possible.
Q 5. What Cruise Lines can be used for a discount with the Coastal Vacations membership, and how much money can a member expect to save?
A. By using your complimentary Carnival / Royal Caribbean Cruise, you may take advantage of a “taxes & processing fees only” cruise from several ports. The passenger’s only costs will include a $50 per person processing fee, and approximately $199 to $225 per person to cover Port Fees, Fuel Taxes, Departure Taxes, and such. Depending on the time of the year you choose to travel, and availability, you can save more than 50% off regular rates with this complimentary cruise.Another great option is using the Coastal Vacations Cruise Card. By calling any of the venders listed on the back of your card, you can get deep discount prices for virtually any cruise line you want, sailing out of all of the popular Ports of Departure around the US to the most desired destinations, such as The Caribbean, The Mediterranean, and even Alaska!
Q 6. How do the discounts work on the cruises, and how can Coastal Vacations members enjoy an ocean cruise for just taxes & processing fees?
A. As we all know, cruise ships are on a strict schedule and must sail regardless of whether they are at full capacity or not. Passengers paying taxes & processing fees only for their cabins will also spend money onboard ship, in the bars, casinos, gift shops, and during shore excursions. Typically the amount of money spent by each passenger equals or exceeds the original cost of the cruise itself. Therefore, in order to benefit from the additional revenue, the Cruise Lines know that it is better to fill empty cabins for pennies on the dollar, rather than sail with empty cabins. Additionally, Cruise Lines have done studies and found that the majority of first time cruisers tend to continue to sail with the same Cruise Line on which they enjoyed their first voyage. This ensures repeat bookings at regular rates in the future, as well as great word of mouth advertising.
Q 7. When a Coastal Vacations member books a stay or a cruise, will they receive a confirmation number and details on their travel, just like they would with a regular travel agency?
A. Absolutely! In fact, every time Coastal Vacations members book any stay or cruise, they will be working with a licensed & bonded travel agent. This is actually better, because it is more reliable to work directly with the originating vendor, rather than to go through a typical travel agency. Coastal Vacations discount methods actually eliminate the “middle man” in most of the stays and cruises.
Q 8. Will the vendor / travel agent be able to assist me with other travel needs?
A. Absolutely! Coastal Vacations vendors are all qualified travel agents fully capable of answering any questions you may have. They also can pass along helpful hints, make arrangements for extra nights, extra guests, upgrade accommodations, arrange group tours, book rental cars at your destination, and assist you with any other travel needs you may have. After you receive the glossy brochure for your travel, there will be a toll free number for you to call for any additional information or pricing depending upon your specific needs.
Q 9. Since this is a "Lifetime Membership", are there any other costs or renewal fees each year?
A. This is a great question because of the benefits with the Coastal Vacations Membership renewal option. In order to keep all of the contact numbers, and vendor information current, the shipping and fulfillment center sends out an optional renewal notice one year from the date of your purchase. You may choose to renew all 20 membership cards & directories, for only $89.95, which is only $4.50 for each new card. This enables Coastal Vacations members to always have current information and phone numbers for all of their travel needs, because there are almost always several additions and changes each year. However, if you choose not to renew, or forget to renew for several months, you may send in your renewal application at anytime. Your renewal for the following year starts when the shipping center receives your application. With the complimentary stays, there is no expiration date, until you have activated a travel voucher. When the glossy brochure arrives, you then have one year to 18 months to select a date and enjoy your stay.
Q 10. Can a Coastal Vacations member give away any of the 30 bonus vacations?
A. That actually is one of the great features about having access to an unlimited supply of complimentary stays. You can give away any of the 30 bonus vacations, as well as order more of any stays from the vacation list included in your membership. They can be used for wedding gifts, Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and much, much more.
Q 11. What other ways could a member take advantage of the discounts in the Coastal Vacations Membership?
A. Many non-profit organizations use the bonus stays for fund raising activities such as kid’s athletic clubs, Fire Stations, Fraternal Order of Police, Churches, Rotary Club, American Legion, private schools, and many charities. These groups typically sell raffle tickets for around $5 each, and offer a variety of 3 or 4 of the complimentary stays as prizes. Many non-profit groups have raised as much as $2,000 to $3,000 on each event. It gets even better. In addition to the bonus stays and cruises working well for various fund raisers, the entire membership of the non-profit organization can benefit from using the bonus stays and the discount membership cards & directories for planning their own personal family vacations and cruises. Not only do the non-profit organizations love the Membership, but even corporations and companies benefit from the Coastal Vacations Package, because they are always looking for ideas to promote their own services and products and increase their sales. Most customers love to travel, and they appreciate the opportunity to enjoy discounted weekend getaways and cruises. Many companies use the Coastal Vacations Membership including mobile home parks and dealers, mortgage companies, car dealerships, beauty & tanning salons, catering services, limousine rentals, and several small retail shops. The options are unlimited. In addition, not only do the bonus stays make great customer incentives, but they make great employee incentives as well. Many companies like to award their employees for outstanding service, sales achievements, retention bonuses, and retirement gifts.
Q 12. Is it possible to save enough on a week long vacation or cruise to pay for the entire cost of the Coastal Vacations Package?
A. Memberships of any type offer the greatest savings to those members who make the most use of the membership. One of the greatest advantages with your Coastal Vacations package is that it can be used for yourself, family and friends, and you can even will the membership to your heirs if you are so inclined.Typically, just a week long condo stay or cruise can easily save a member more than the $1,295 cost of the Level 1 Membership Package. Coastal Vacations has many members who have saved well in excess of the cost of their package on their very first trip.
Q 13. What are my chances of traveling on the dates I have selected?
A. As in most travel, selecting dates 30 days or more in advance helps ensure availability. During Holiday seasons it is best to book up to 6 months in advance if possible. The exception to this is our condo stays, where under 30 day options - known as “burn weeks” offer the deepest discount and last minute availability.Coastal Vacations has several options for condos with several different vendors. One of them has a web site just for Coastal Vacations members, that usually offers 3 to 5 pages of locations all around the USA. If you have the flexibility of traveling on the spur of the moment, occasionally outstanding deals are available, especially with your cruise card. This is due to Cruise Lines having cancellations at the last minute.
Q 14. Can we get more than one set of cards & directories?
A. Yes. An extra set of cards & directories is only an additional $49.95. An extra set comes in very handy in situations where several individuals will have access to the Coastal Vacations Membership, such as in large families, and groups or organizations.
Q 15. Can we let friends & relatives use our cards & directories?
A. Yes. You can either assist them with booking their accommodations, or they can use your cards & directories and book their own hotel or condo stays.
Q 16. What is the difference in the Complimentary Carnival/Royal Caribbean Cruise and the "Cruise & Stay" for $6.95?
A. With the complimentary Carnival or Royal Caribbean Cruise, you sleep onboard ship for the duration of the 4 day 3 night or 5 day 4 night ocean going cruise.
With the "Cruise & Stays", you spend the day sailing from Florida to the Bahamas and sleep at a resort for the duration of your stay, after which you spend another 6 hours sailing back to Florida.
Q 17. Are there any "hidden costs" when a member books a complimentary taxes only stay?
A. No. Be sure to read the terms & conditions for each vacation. You are only responsible for taxes, processing fees, & gratuities for the complimentary bonus stays.
Q 18. How can I find a vendor to contact in order to get a list of condos currently available?
A. There are several condo options in the Coastal Vacations Membership. The first option is to go to the directories and look for condo listings in the area you desire. Another method is to use the website from your Hotel Access Card for monthly listings of condos and burn week specials. You may also go to the back of your condo card and call the toll free numbers for additional options.
Q 19. Who can I contact in the Coastal Vacations membership for the best airfare?
A. The Airfare card has toll free numbers on the back to call for airfare quotes. In some cases, the member will also be given a website to check for airfares when they call in to these numbers. Also, almost all of the vendors in the Coastal Package offer airfares. The key is to book as early as possible and combine airfares with a stay from the same vendor.Internet airfares have become extremely competitive. In most cases, Coastal Vacations vendors will be in the same price range as the major airfare providers over the Internet. The primary advantage to booking airfares through Coastal Vacations vendors is for convenience and time savings.
Q 20. How will I know what Hotel or Resort I will be staying at, when I book a complimentary stay?
A. When you receive the glossy activated vacation brochure, there will be a toll free number for customer service. You may call that number to inquire about details concerning your accommodations. Generally, accommodations will be in 4 to 5 star hotels & resorts such as Ramada, LaQuinta, Howard Johnsons, Comfort Suites, etc.
Q 21. How do I activate the Coastal Vacations Member cards, Its says to mail application to activate card...Can I use them now, and where? Locally?
A. In your travel package you will find a Membership Activation Form. You will need to fill out this form with your information and then send it in (to the shipping center -- address is on Membership Form) along with a $10 money order (for shipping & handling. You will receive your whole set of 20 membership cards with their accompanying Directories within 5-10 business days.
Q 22. Can I extend complementary stays (bonus vacations)?
A. YES. The complimentary vacations are for 3days/2nights or 8days/7nights. If you want to extend those they will charge you a nominal fee. These companies are motivated (and paid) to fill the rooms. They will offer you good deals to ensure that you stay longer.
Q 23. Is this the best vacation deal for a customer or are there hundreds of competitors?
A. The travel industry is very competitive and there are a number of other companies that offer discount travel & vacation memberships, like we do... What sets us apart is that we are an Association of Professionals and not a company. We do not have the overhead that a standard company has and therefore can afford to market this package for $1295. This EXACT same package is also sold by other resort companies for $2500-$4000. This package has been on the market for over 20years. We, Coastal Vacations have been marketing it for over 10 years now.
Q 24. I saw on the European vacation pkg. that France and Italy are not incl. Do you have pkgs. for these countries?
A. Yes, we have international stays in France and Italy. They are week long complimentary stays where we are required to pay the taxes only (approx $20./night). These vacations cost us $20 to order...
Q 25. Is travel by air or rail incl. in vacation pkgs? Sometimes half the fun is getting there as they say... I am a railroad enthusiast, are there Amtrak pkgs also?
A. With our "Travel Card" we get an additional 10-20% savings on AIRFARES... The Board of Directors of Coastal Vacations are currently looking to implement a "Rail Discount Card" card, they are planning to have it in place by the end of this year...
Q 26. How many vacation packages does Coastal Vacations offer?
A. Coastal Vacations offers three different vacation packages. "The Level 1 - Resort Vacation Package" for $1295. "The Premier Combo - International Vacation Package" (Level 1 & Level 2) for $3995 (save $800) and "The Platinum Package - Universal Vacation Package" (Level 1, 2 and 3) for $11,000 (savings of $1295)
Q 27. If I help someone by getting their flight for them (family or friend & at no profit to me) do they need to have my card to show at the airport or car rental or such?
A. That depends entirely... For any of the bonus vacations, chances are, they will not have to present a card. However if you are booking Hotel Rooms, for someone else other than yourself they will need a card at the time of checkout to receive the discount.
Q 28. How do you compare prices without ordering a condo vacation first?
A. As a member of Coastal Vacations, our Condo stays are typically $19/night per person. On average, we pay about $300 per week (for 2 people) for a condo stay. The best way to compare is to get the regular price of the condo first and then compare that to the $300 per week that we as Coastal Vacations members pay. We are saving about $1000 per week on condo stays around the US, Canada, Mexico , the Caribbean & worldwide.
Q 29. What other cards would give me airline prices to Munich, Germany and to Jamaica other than the Travel card?
A. On top of Hotel and Condo discounts, The "Quest Card" also gives us airfare discounts.
Q 30. Do I get to go on the Coastal Vacations complimentary 4day, 3night Carnival cruise in Level II?
A. As a Level 2 member, you can take an UNLIMITED AMOUNT of
4 day/3night Carnival Cruises. You should have ONE already activated in your
package. You can order more using your International Vacations Membership card,
and Order Form, which is also included in your Level 2 package.
Q 31. If I go
on vacation using my membership, will I receive second rate or sub standard
treatment as I am not a full paying guest?
A. NO, absolutely not! Our travel
providers welcome Coastal members- we promote their businesses! In fact, quite
often a Coastal Vacations member who can show ID is recognized as a travel professional.
It is not uncommon to receive special treatment, bonuses or even free upgrades.
They want you to enjoy, have a great time and tell people about it!
Q 32. Can I
just buy the package because I want to travel and share it with family and friends?
I’m not interested in owning a business? Alternatively- I just want to own
my own business- do I HAVE to travel if I run a Coastal vacations business?
A. Absolutely, if you just want to enjoy discounted travel, there is no obligation
to run a business. You can use the package as soon as you get it. You are under
no obligation to make training sales or so forth. Your package is yours to use
and share as you wish.Conversely, if you don’t enjoy travel or can’t for whatever
reason no problem! Of course, it helps to make use of your membership somehow-
your potential clients will often want to hear that you have had experience
using it. You might consider giving away trips or booking holidays with your
membership cards for your friends or family members, your Church or favourite
charity. This way, you can let your clients know that the package works!
Most Frequently Asked Coastal Business Opportunity Questions:
Q 33. Help, I really
want to start a Coastal Business! But I really don’t have the money to get started.
What do I do?
A. Believe me, I know all about not having the money. I know how
frustrating that situation can be- I was there for over a year myself before
I was finally able to start my business. See my personal story for the details
if you are interested. Then call me. I’m interested in finding out if you would
be a good candidate for my team, not how much money you do or don’t have. Should
I see a good fit between us, I will work with you to find a way. I have a list
of over 30 suggestions to help you fund your business and many of them do not
involve using your own resources. All of these funding ideas have been used
either by myself or other successful Coastal Directors to start their business.
You are in good company! Your insight and determination to get out of debt instead
of succumbing to hopelessness are very good qualities to have in this or any
other business. If you fail to quit, you can’t fail!
Q 34. I have a very busy life-
I see the opportunity but really between work and my family I don’t see myself
having the time to run my Coastal Business Successfully. How much time is realistically
required?
A. Well, that is a tough spot to be in for sure. Realistically,
when you start your own business of any kind the initial learning curve involves
quite a lot more effort then actually running the business once you know what
you are doing. To your benefit, the Coastal Synergy Group MAC system training can be taken at
your own pace and their system itself does over 80% of the work for you. Of
course, the faster you get the basics out of the way, the faster you can get
to running your business actively and being able to quit that job that takes
up so much of your time. I understand being busy- believe me I’m a single mother
and have enough pets around here to call it a zoo! But, that said- the old saying “if
you want to get something done, ask a busy person” is true. Congrats, if you
are busy chances are you are competent! My suggestion is to organize your time
and tasks as well as possible. Learn to delegate where appropriate. You can
run your business successfully on as little as 5 hours a week. Really, is that
too much time to devote to a business that could realistically make you a millionaire?
Of course, the easier you absorb information and the more time you put into
your business, the faster you will create the results you seek. Most importantly,
however many hours you determine you can put into your business make SURE it
is consistent effort and integrated into your routine. The consistency here
is the key to success- especially in the first 90 days of your business.
Q 35. How
do I know this isn’t another one of those scams? How do I know I can trust
you?
A. Really, I can’t answer that question objectively. You are absolutely
right, this COULD BE a scam and I COULD BE a scam artist. I’m not and it isn’t-
but you don’t know me or anyone else involved in the Coastal Synergy Group. I don’t expect you
to believe a word I say. That would not be fair or objective. What I do suggest
is you read through this website and peruse the links and available information
thoroughly. Then I suggest you call and interview me- ask me the “tough questions”.
Put me on the spot, get to know me and follow your instincts. I would expect
any success oriented potential business associate to do that- in fact I interviewed
over 34 directors and looked at several support groups wthin Coastal Vacations before
I joined. I couldn’t afford to take my decision to join Coastal Vacations casually- I
did not have the money to loose and I simply could NOT AFFORD to fail. I don’t
expect you to be rude- but I do expect you to do your own homework and find
out everything that you can possibly think of! Then, learn all you can about
others in the Coastal Synergy Group and the system we use through the many calls and global theatre
presentations that are available. Ask the same questions that you asked me if
you like. I’m sure you will hear consistent answers!
Q 36. Why is Coastal Vacations not listed in the BBB?
Regarding the BBB. You are concerned about stability and reputation. You must
understand where the stability concern should be:
A. I) Coastal Coastal Vacations itself is NOT a company but
an ASSOCIATION of professionals all around the world who promote Travel, Affluence & Well-Being.
There is no head office, no corporate entity or legal department. They have
no real responsibility other than (Led by the B.O.D.) making sure the package
continues to get better, maintaining our credibility by ensuring Coastal Vacations Representatives
Stay within the ethical guidelines and business agreements with our partner
providers and for leading the marketing efforts of the field. The reason why
we can earn such high profits of $1000 & $3200 & $9705 per sale is because there
is no company in place that requires high overhead. If this was the case then
our commissions (not profits) would be considerably lower (as an entrepreneur
looking at this business model--the fact that we are an association IS A PLUS)
A. II) NB Management - Although they have been shipping packages
for 25 years they are still just a fulfillment center that could easily be replaced
by another. They ship packages for many other travel & resort companies. All
shipping of membership packages is carried by FedEx- this allows tracking of
packages, timely delivery and provides insurance.
A. III) The Package - This is where your main concern should lay! The stability
rest with the 30 some companies who fulfill the contents of the package. Most
are licensed, bonded and even publically traded on the stock market. Using such
a large number of companies also allows for greater stability since if one failed
it could easily be replaced rather than depending on just one company for everything.
You must understand that this package has been selling for more than 2 decades.
We (Coastal Vacations) have been marketing and adding to the package for over 10 years..
The longevity alone, speaks volumes.
Companies like Disney, Quest, ITC-50, Carnival, Ski Access, Great American Traveler,
Fairfield Marriott etc. would not be involved in a dis-reputable business.
Please research these companies online, you will no doubt find they are solid.
Q 37. How do I register myself (business) with the BBB?
A. (submitted by a Coastal Synergy Group member in California) Registering
with the BBB is very simple actually. I went to Google and typed in Better Business
Bureau and pulled up their main site. The organization is broken into chapters
based on locations. Obviously, being in California I headed to that site. So
depending on where you are located go there and things may vary a bit per location,
but for my area, there was a very simple one page application, which I filled
out last night and was contacted immediately this morning. They checked my sites,
and both my phone number and toll free number, and verified my name and address.
A Post Office box was fine as far as what will be shown to the general public
and I wasn't asked about a business license, although I am registered with my
DBA. They conducted a brief phone interview asking about the business. I told
them I was a sole proprietor, operating an online business that offered a travel
package retail and just a little about the package, as well as that we offered
the business opportunity. I gave them both sites and paid my dues ($465 in the
state of California) and was given my membership number, told a bit about the
benefits, which includes, free legal advise and that I would be sent a membership
package today. And that if I needed anything at all, that's what they are there
for. They were very nice, and I had a really good experience. I believe some
areas have regulation regarding how long you have been in business as I have
heard Julie in Ohio often refer to something about 4 months there. For myself,
3 months was fine. Please note that the BBB is a FOR PROFIT organization and
therefore is not necessarily an objective source of information! You can find
many negative BBB reports on almost any major company- considered to be reputable
and reliable by most consumers. I have chosen to not be involved in my local
BBB for this reason- they automatically consider any home based business opportunity
to be unethical and yet would not review the factual, verifiable information
about my business, clients and background that I was willing to provide! Not
objective or a reliable policy as far as I am concerned! My advise to you is
to do your OWN homework and investigations. KNOW who you are doing business
with! There is absolutely no substitute for your own research.
Q 38. Why can't I just prove myself and instead of buying a package myself just
promote the business and pass up 3 sales to you?
A. That's a great question and it makes sense to me. However, that is not how
the program is designed to work. Time and experience have proven time and time
again that for someone to be super successful in any business, they must first
be a product of the product. By owning, understanding, using and knowing the
product yourself, you will be able to create your own stories of the savings
that you've had and the fun trips you've taken. Also, you won't have to hide
behind a lie should you imply that you own the package when, in fact, you don't.
Also, one of the most important qualifications in belonging to the Coastal Synergy
Group and Coastal Vacations is having your own membership. If you have all your
questions answered and WANT to start your own business but simply can’t find
the funding please let me know. I have 33 different, proven ways that myself
and other successful Coastal Directors have used to start their business. Perhaps
there are some funding sources I can suggest to you that you have not already
investigated or thought of yourself. Where there is a will, there IS a way.
Please read my personal story to find out exactly how broke I was too when I first heard about Coastal Vacations and started doing my own due diligence. I found a way- and you can too.
Q 39. My first 2 sales will come from my family or close friends - I want to keep them under me so we can work together and benefit from the upgrades. Can I pass up 2 others later on for my training sales?
A. That's a great question and I completely understand. What we need to do is get busy and simply get your first two sales out of the way. As soon as that happens, which should be within your first 30 days, you can then get the membership packages for your family. By the way, in the meantime, if they are wanting to travel right away, you can GIVE them one of your vacations now and they can pay you back when they receive theirs. Have you considered actually investing in your business with your friend or family member already? You can have 2 peoples names on your package ownership and be partners from the outset. This option would help you share costs, and maybe even create a bigger operating budget so you can be successful sooner! Not to mention being able to share the profit and the business tasks from the get go. I know of many couples that actually run the business together- spouses, siblings, friends or parents and children. Oftentimes one persons abilities will compliment anothers, or 2 market sectors can be targeted more time efficiently instead of just focusing effort on one. There would still be only 2 training sales total between both of you to earn your directors release! That is an incredible advantage, if it works for you.
Q 40. What does a director do?
A. A Director with Coastal Vacations can purchase the travel packages at wholesale and then sell them at retail and keep the profits of $1000 - $9705 per sale depending which if the Director is Level 1, 2 or 3 qualified. A Director would be a clients contact person should they have any questions about using their travel package. Also a Director helps train others to become successful Directors and earns a training fee by retaining the "first 2 training" sales from EACH of their trainees. I work from home using exclusively my telephone and personal computer. Other business owners prefer a more direct, traditional “face to face” approach and promote our packages within their own local community, state or province. The choice is really yours to make- depending on your needs, lifestyle and personal preferences.
Q 41. When you train a PREMIER can both of those sales be Level 1 or should we have at least a Level 2 sale? Can they come in at Level 2 without doing Level 1?
A. The Coastal Vacations compensation plan suggests that two training sales at the level of entry need to be completed in order to qualify as a Director. Please refer to the Coastal Vacations compensation overview at: 1.800.628.6435. However, as a business owner the choice is yours to make. Personally, to keep record keeping simple I consider the first 2 sales at ANY level to be valid training sales and will then release a director at the level they started their business at. For example, a Platinum member working with me would be released after completing 2 training sales that came in at a level I. To me- a sale is a sale is a sale. When you complete your 2 training sales, you KNOW what you are doing and how to do it well. This is one of the advantages of coming in at the highest level you can initially- that and people tend to join under you at the level you started at wherever possible. However, the choice is yours- whatever your personal business policy is you must stay within the ethical guidelines and stick to it to be consistently fair and reliable to those on your team.
Q 42. Can I start with the Level I package and then move to the next level?
A. Yes, you certainly can, however there are great advantages of starting at the TOP level.. You will end up saving over $9000 by doing so.. If you do not completely understand the business model yet and the numbers don’t make sense to you, please call or email me
with your specific questions for more information.
Q. Is it better to start with the Platinum package?
A. The best way to get started in Coastal Vacations when you are seriously looking at making money is to begin at the Platinum level. Please request an email entitled “the benefits of membership levels” for a detailed explanation. Please keep in mind however, that if you simply can’t manage Platinum you can always choose to upgrade later. There is no need to upgrade one level at a time- one is welcome to upgrade directly from Level I to Platinum by paying the combined upgrade fee and making an additional 2 training sales.
Q 43. Are there long distance charges involved? Will customers be calling me on an 800# from anywhere?
A. Yes, your customers will tend to call you on your 800 Voicemail service that will cost you approx $10/month. There are long distance charges involved when calling your customers but you can save significantly on those by getting a 'Flat Rate' unlimited long distance plan (i.e. pay about $29.95 per month for UNLIMITED LONG DISTANCE in Canada and the US). I will show you a few good companies that offer these. Remember that operating costs such as your telephone and internet are business expenses and should be claimed as tax write offs. See your personal accountant for exact details pertaining to your state or province. Keep track of all your receipts for EVERYTHING- the tax advantages of owning a home based business are tremendous! A great deal of tax specific information will also be available in your back office included in your Coastal Synergy Group MAC system.
Q 44. Is this a tax-deductible home based business and is my computer room now my bus. office?
A. Yes this business is tax deductible and will offer you an array of deductions as a home business owner... i.e. part of your home mortgage, rent, lease, computer, phone, internet, utilities, cell phone, pager, your marketing system, advertising, travel to seminars or while working your business etc etc etc...all of these are just examples of much of what you can "write off"... an accountant will be able to consult with you regarding all your write off's.
Q 45. How many people are signed up with Coastal Vacations and are there enough customers for them?
A. We have Thousands of members worldwide... As for customers... ask yourself this question: "Who DOESN'T like to Travel?" Travel is a $5.3 TRILLION industry, growing at 23% annually. We will never run short of customers, not in our lifetime anyway !... Since the Coastal Synergy Group have partnered with Cuting Edge Media and Real Time Data( professional advertising companies of over 15years combined experience) the strain and worry about "where to get customers from" has been eliminated.. They provide us with an over-flow of leads on a daily basis.. One can order as many leads as they can handle. Both of these companies are endorsed by the Coastal Synergy Group and leads purchased from them will be automatically uploaded into your back office contact manager and autoresponder systems with no danger of any violation of the anti-spam policy. That said, you are free to use other advertising firms and even do your own advertising on or offline at your own risk and discretion.
Q 46. I do not have a computer. Can I work this business offline?
A. 1) Yes you can work this business offline. Before the internet
this is how it was done. Use FAX on demand to provide written information. There
are many 800 numbers for overviews, compensation plan & testimonials. Go to
LIVE calls and training calls.
A. 2) For very little a month you can buy a computer online:

How to buy a computer: http://ap.compaq.com.sg/toolkit/howtobuy.

Q 47. When is the Coastal Vacations training seminar and where??
A. The Board of Directors holds bi-annual training seminars
in Florida. For the next upcoming date and location, click here
.
The Coastal Synergy group holds and annual training seminar. For Information on the next seminar, click here
Q 48. On the Directors Release - does the person that I signed up actually have to make a sale and pass it up to me first before she gets her release? Does it have to be two or can one suffice?
A. You have to complete your 2 training sales in order to earn your Coastal Directorship and qualify to purchase the Travel Packages at wholesale prices. Through that process you will also gain the knowledge and skills needed to train others. “Selling” director releases is not uncommon practice unfortunately. But please note: Caveat Emptor! The shipping centre does actually keep accurate records for the Board of Directors and complaints or unusual activity by Directors will be investigated by the BOD. Should someone be found to be violating any part of the ethical business policy, their Directors release will be stripped and quite possibly all the illegal releases they have sent out will be recinded. Do not trust anyone who tries to violate the ethical business policy! Unfortunately in this business, like any other there are people who are not so very ethical. This is why its well worth your time to ask questions of your chosen director and find out who they really are and what they are all about. Also-join the Coastal Synergy Group. Coastal Synergy Group members MUST at all times adhere strictly to all BOD and Coastal Synergy Group policy and guidelines.
Q 49. What currency can we use and can we change the price?
A. Since you are an independent business owner it is up to you, but try to keep it at the suggested USD prices. This EXACT same package is also sold by other resort companies for $2500-$4000. You can make an exception and offer a time limited special ... use your discretion and common sense. We do not want to undervalue our product or discredit the Coastal Synergy Group or BOD! The travel packages we market are already priced significantly under actual retail value in the open marketplace. Anyone who is an experienced traveler will see the value inherent in owning one of the lifetime memberships.
Q 50. Is there any advertisement options for a person without a computer?
A. YES. We offer offline and online campaigns. I will be able to consult with you and give you ideas and suggestions. Visit: http://www.Coastal Synergy Groupprospects.com to see Marketing Firms that are recommended and working with the Coastal Synergy Group. You can also choose any advertising company on or offline of your choosing, but MUST carefully adhere to the anti-spam guidelines at all times. Also note that there are several tools available to Coastal Synergy Group members to pursue the retail market and those interested in home based business opportunities that choose not to run their business using a computer. See www.Coastal Synergy Groupmarketplace.com for details.
Q 51. What is a typical time length with a prospect from first contact to sale?
A. The recruiting process is generally 7 to 10 days once you have started introducing your potential client to the information they need to be properly informed. Some may take a month or two, up to 6 months- people can be very busy these days! Your MAC system’s autoresponder letters will help you stay in contact with your prospects if they couldn't make their decision within 7-10 days. Serious people are smart and do their homework. Successful would-be entrepreneurs know how to make informed decisions. If someone sees this business as a solution to their needs they will be very quick to do their research and make a decision. Your job would be simply to provide them with the right information and tools to help them get started and then help them build their business.
It generally takes three to five good conversations and exposures to enroll someone into your business. Then again, it is not unheard of to have a client visit your website and immediately come onboard. Generally, though people will want to speak with you, get to know and like you. This is understandable, as having a competent, supportive and knowledgeable director is essential in this business.
